Arcadis in Manchester has pledged to support We Love Manchester in a brand new Charity Partnership.
The leading design consultancy for natural and built assets was searching for a local charity that their team could get behind, and We Love Mcr fits the bill.
This new Arcadis Partnership has clear aims – to improve the quality of local life and to have a positive impact on the local community. By choosing a charity which aligns with Arcadis’ values, the 400-strong Manchester team is proud to support the future work of We Love MCR, and to help write Manchester’s next chapter.
In these remote-working times, the Arcadis team joined together over Zoom to launch the Partnership with We Love MCR, and to explore options for fundraising and volunteering whilst having fun together.
Rob Sale, Office Director in Manchester said:
“Across the UK, we take great pride in our charity work, supporting great causes through fundraising, donating time and resources, and sharing our professional expertise pro-bono. We see our charity work as an opportunity to unite and connect our people.”
“In Manchester we deliver fantastic projects and outcomes for our clients and our people. We provide everyone in our team with one day’s paid leave each year, giving us all a great opportunity to support Arcadis’ charity partners. In Manchester we’re delighted to partner with We Love MCR and support them and the fantastic work they do in our region. We’re extremely proud to be able to commit our time and to undertake wider fundraising activity with them to truly make a difference locally.”
Chris Waine, Arcadis UK Account Director for Health added:
“At Arcadis we pride ourselves on our ability to directly ‘Improve Quality of Life’, and so to work in partnership with an organisation like We Love MCR with shared values and aspirations is fantastic. In our Healthcare team, we get the opportunity to work on some great projects, which will have a huge positive impact on their surrounding areas, such as the redevelopment of the North Manchester General Hospital. We’re keen to utilise our links with the Charity and our role on projects such as North Manchester General to maximise the impact we have on local communities across Manchester.”
Ged Carter at We Love MCR Charity said:
“Joining such a prestigious business as Arcadis in Manchester is a brilliant step forward for us. We’re excited to start planning how we can work together to raise funds. These funds will help us to support community groups looking to improve their communities across Manchester, and to support ambitious young Mancunians to succeed in difficult times.
We hope to involve every member of the Arcadis Manchester team, through their progressive offer of a day of paid leave to use with their charity partner. We can’t wait to get started!”
