Bradley is a shining example of a talented and ambitious young Mancunian determined to succeed. He is a creative and talented young man who has overcome the odds to achieve his dreams of self employment.

Bradley* had a difficult and disrupted family life which resulted in him moving around a lot, sofa surfing, some time living in Care and an extremely challenging time when he was homeless and rough sleeping.

Bradley was determined not to let this experience determine his path in life, and has worked hard to get his life back on track. Due to self-motivation, determination and his willingness to work with professionals offering help, Bradley is now living in supported accommodation and receiving support to build his jewellery design business.

He is successfully studying an Enterprise Course to gain valuable advice skills in self-employment and enterprise, to support him in his goal to run his own business.

Bradley needed a helping hand to buy a laptop and printer to elevate his business to the next level. He was supported by his leaving-Care worker and business adviser to apply for a Manchester’s Rising Stars Grant. We were delighted to agree to this request, to support a young Mancunian with a vision who is working hard to secure a better future for himself.

Bradley uses his platform as a way of highlighting the issues of homelessness and the impact that this can have on mental health, and he supports Centrepoint charity and is hoping to go on and support other young people facing similar issues! We think he’s a true Rising Star!
