Manchester takes on the 2.6 Challenge!
Across the nation, many people and organisations are taking part in the nationwide 2.6 Challenge which started on Sunday 26 April. An effort aiming to save UK charities at a time when nearly every major fundraising event has been cancelled or postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In Manchester, We Love MCR Charity & MCRactive have teamed up to take on the challenge!
Together, we’re inviting Mancunians to show off our renowned ingenuity and creativity over the coming weekends by completing their own challenges, raising money and sharing to inspire us all with how Mancunians take on 2.6 challenges at home. We Love MCR Charity will use all the funds raised to support local groups and charities to improve their own communities. Click here to set up your fundraising page:
We’ve suggested 26 different challenges (below) to start you off, a mix of intensities for all, but feel free to create any of your own – be creative with 2.6 / 26 / 260 or 2600 and share with #WeLoveMCR #MCRactive #TwoPointSixChallenge. Let’s see some great examples of Manchester taking up the 2.6 challenge!
The 2.6 challenge provides the perfect opportunity to support physical, mental and emotional well-being. Whatever challenge you take up, follow, connect and share with @MCR_Charity & @MCRactive with a short video, image, creative idea or message. We Love MCR is happy to receive these direct by email to: email@example.com or through our social channels.
Now more than ever is the time for us to consider our levels of physical activity, whilst recognising and sharing those small moments of happiness in our days. Stay safe, move more and look after yourself and your loved ones.
