Our £1m covid-19 community response fund: 6 month impact report

We’ve been giving money to the amazing Manchester groups and charities responding to urgent community needs in the face of the Covid-19 crisis since March 2020. We surveyed the 300+ groups we funded and created an impact report on the findings. Click the link below to read the report and hear the difference our fund has made so far to Manchester.

We were buzzing with excitement when the renowned trainer specialists size? came to us with their ideas for, a Manchester-exclusive edition of Nike’s distinguished ‘Air Force 1’ shoe. We are even more excited that 10% of all sales will be donated to We Love MCR! Complete with the official Manchester Worker Bee trademark, tasteful honeycombed suede, and boastful ‘0161’ motif on the tongue – these trainers are bound to be snapped up quickly.

Seen in the picture is our Ambassador Maria, a past recipient of funds from our Manchester’s Rising Stars Fund. She features prominently in their promotional campaign! We Love Manchester Summer School 2019

We Love Manchester proudly supports young Mancunians. They are our rising stars and future leaders, and some may need a helping hand along the way.

We work with young people through our key projects including Summer School, funded work experience placements, funds and platforms for young entrepreneurs, and personal mentoring opportunities. All projects help to develop key skills for future employment, education and life!

We know that money can often be a barrier to accessing opportunities.  We support the young people we work with in a number of ways, ensuring that financial limits don’t get in the way of young people developing the skills and confidence to succeed.


Grants Programme

We provide funding to community groups and local charities throughout the city of  Manchester, bringing communities together to celebrate diversity, breakdown barriers and help create a better future for the city. The charity wants to celebrate Manchester’s uniqueness, multi­cultural neighbourhoods and youthful energy.
