We Love MCR Charity has renewed our funding for Manchester Young Lives (MYL), which has enhanced their employability programmes for young Mancunians for the last 4 years!
MYL use their decades of experience in youth provision to provide tailored support into the world of work and adulthood for young people aged 16 - 24 with individual learning needs.
We Love MCR funding has created a crisis support fund, to give their learners financial support if a barrier to engagement comes up; such as bus passes, ID documents, clothing, toiletries, and work equipment.
We recently granted MYL £20,000 to continue this much-needed support for another 2 years, until 2025!
To re-launch and celebrate this, our Chair of Trustees, Lord Mayor Yasmine Dar, and our Grants Manager Marie attended their project at the Addy Young People’s Centre in Wythenshawe on 22nd June.
Over recent years, MYL have had so many success stories coming from their employability programmes. We look forward to sharing more good news about the partnership going forward!
