We Love MCR at #COMBA22 awards evening 8/9/22

Attendees sat at tables in a busy room, with hosts on a stage in the background delivering an award

We Love MCR attended the annual City of Manchester Business Awards at the Lowry Hotel on Thursday evening, an event established to celebrate the businesses that truly give our city the edge over the rest!

We were the Official Charity Partner for their 2022 awards, expertly hosted and curated by Manchester's industry-leading Downtown In Business.

Our Head of Charity, Ged Carter, was present on the night and gave his thoughts:

"Without the support of our valued corporate partners, We Love MCR could not sustain the volume of good works we fund throughout the year.
Being Charity Partner for these awards, and surrounded by so many of Manchester's most accomplished movers and shakers, is an honour for the Charity. Our warmest thanks to Frank McKenna and the DiB team for such a memorable evening!"

The donations from around the room for the Prize Draw raised £2,120! This will help to fund our work empowering Manchester's communities with our Stronger Communities Fund, and to support the next generation of ambitious Mancunian talent through our Manchester’s Rising Stars Fund. Some of our rising stars may even end up as nominees for these awards one day…

Winners were voted on by the public in categories such as Employer Of The Year, Restaurant/Bar Of The Year, and Leading Cultural Venue Of The Year, with a raft of Manchester’s key names popping up throughout the nominations and awards. Click here for the full list of Winners on the night, including Bruntwood SciTech as Business of the Year.
